Our Spa Retreat offers a huge variety of pampering, beauty and healing treatments by the resident therapists, e.g. massages, aromatherapy, steam sauna herbal bath, sea clay body wraps, papaya facials, lymphatic and tissue cleansing treatments, Reiki and more. There are bushes rain forest walks or you can relax on the ocean view cafe veranda with an excellent cappuccino and our famous apple strudel. We, herewith, wish to share our dreams come true, with you. Herbert, a Bavarian from Rosenheim had worked for Nestle’ in Switzerland. Three years later we had our engagement in South Africa and 7 months later we married on the borders of Switzerland and Germany in Neil am rein, a small village town. With a cold winter and many shoveling of snow, it was time to migrate to our dream destination Australia, land of sunshine, warmth, beauty and opportunity. We fell in love with our city of Sydney and the botanical gardens. As a Food technologist and Chemical engineer, Herbert had the pick of 6 positions. By the time he received his first week’s wages, we had 5 between us and a baby on the way. Yes, it was mirth but also so speedy paced that we needed timeout, but couldn’t find the correct deposit and environment to unwind. We were quiet operating in automated overdrive you know what I mean?? Then, remembering, having heard of Batemans Bay in our very early Australian days, we visited the then coastal fishing village and fell in love with the unspoilt beauty and automatic environment. Herbert drew up the house plans, supervised construction and created what we now have to share with you. They were among our very first Festive Season guests and we are still a part of their lives. We have made such incredible and inspiring friends.
