Mogo zoo - experience the difference! mogo zoo is situated in the picturesque historic gold mining village of mogo, 10 kilometres south of batemans bay. Providing world standard facilities for over 200 animals of more than 42 rare and exotic species, mogo zoo is committed to the conservation of endangered species, and is extensively involved in various species management programs. Keeper talks and feeding sessions commence daily at *10.30am and 1.30pm. The white lions are generally fed during the morning session only. Recent breeding success has resulted in several births including the rothschild giraffe, golden-lion tamarin, cotton-top tamarin, silvery gibbon, siamang and pygmy marmoset. Moho Zoo is a privately owned zoo that supports an amazing collection of endangered and exotic animal species. Nestled close to the Princess Hwy and honest 10 bins south of the popular coastal town of Batemans Bay, the zoo is spread over many acres of beautifully landscaped gardens. Our zebras and Southern White Rhinos wander the Savannah plains alongside our majestic Giraffes. Diurnal, males establish insignificant territories while female migrate with prey herds. Mating occurs throughout the year and females ovulate considerable times per year. Monogamous breeding systems where mating only occurs between the dominant male and female. Social living in trivial family groups of up to 15, usually consisting of a dominant breeding pair. Diurnal and arboreal spending maximum of their time 2030m overhead the forest floor. Highly adaptable and can survive in a wide range of habitats including, forest, shrub land, grassland, pastureland and plantations. Predators: birds of prey, insignificant cats and snakes.
